About Suzannah Weiss
I write, teach, and speak about women’s sexuality, relationships, and empowerment. I am the author of Subjectified, a memoir/treatise on ending the objectification of women through playful dances with language, and Eve’s Blessing, a personal, political, and spiritual story of overcoming the Edenic curses by embracing pleasure where women previously accepted pain. From The New York Times wedding section to Glamour‘s sex guides, my writing is all over the internet, with over 8,900 articles published. I have edited for Teen Vogue, Vice, and Complex and contributed to The Washington Post, New York Magazine, and more.
I am a marriage and family therapist (AMFT #15292) currently seeing a variety of clients including couples, neurodiverse individuals, and people with eating disorders and body image issues. I am also a sexologist and AASECT-certified sex educator, offering one-on-one sessions and courses to help people improve their sex lives and relationships. In addition, I am a sexual assault counselor and a doula specializing in ecstatic and orgasmic birth. I also provide mentorship for writers and consulting for PR professionals.
My work has been discussed on The Today Show and The View and appeared in anthologies including Here We Are: Feminism for the Real World and The Big Book of Orgasms. I’ve been quoted in Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Pop Sugar, Healthline, Woman’s Day, Forbes, Fortune, and the BBC and spoken at South by Southwest, the AASECT Conference, the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit, and other major conferences. I hold a Master of Arts in Psychology from Antioch University with specializations in Spiritual Psychology & LGBT Psychology, a Master of Professional Studies in Sexual Health from the University of Minnesota, a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Neuroscience from Brown University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Gender & Sexuality Studies and Modern Culture & Media from Brown University.
