About Upasaka Upali
Upali teaches that the cessation of suffering is not achieved by suffering. Journey alongside Upali and discover an innate joy and ease for meditation and life.
Upasaka Upali (aka Paul Peterson) began meditating because he felt bad and thought it would help him feel better. It worked beyond anything he could have imagined.
Through his success in not feeling bad, Upali realized he had little practice in feeling good. He learned a new practice of “getting good at feeling good.” This is the compass that currently guides him.
With support from his spouse, friends, teachers, mentors, supervisors, meditation community, therapists, dog, garden, education, training, Buddhist lineage, and local ecology, Upali has devoted his professional life to the practice of teaching Sukkha (Joy/Satisfactoriness) and its proliferation.
You can connect with Upali through 1:1 support, classes or workshops, meditation retreats, and walks in nature.
